The Black Ranch Marabu charcoal comes from the Dichrostachys Cinera tree. Marabu is a very hard stick-shaped wood and therefore ideal for a long Low & Blow BBQ session and has a much longer burn time than European charcoal. The nice thing is that Marabu charcoal gives off a neutral mild smoke flavor.
Tip from the BBQ Pitmaster: When you're done BBQ'ing and you extinguish the charcoal by closing the lid and shutting off the air supply, you can just re-light it next time!
