Best Charcoal Binchotan Maitiew 7.5 kg
Binchotan "white" charcoal comes from Asia. The centuries-old Japanese manufacturing process ensures a high-quality charcoal. The very high carbon percentage of the Binchotan Maitiew (96-98%!) ensures that temperatures above 800 degrees are achievable. Not every bbq can withstand this, by the way. A box of eucalyptus Maitiew Binchotan contains a combination of chunks and semi long rods.
The Binchotan is free of sparks or smoke flavor and burns extremely long. Its extreme hardness therefore makes it harder to ignite. Use a coal starter for lighting and allow 50 to 60 minutes for start-up.
A few pieces of Binchotan between regular charcoal can, of course, also be used. However, the Binchotan is a harder charcoal which can still be found in the BBQ after several sessions.
