This Volcano Cone makes your Kamado or Kogel BBQ even more fun. With this device you can regulate your fire and temperature even better for both direct and indirect grilling. You can use this cone on both sides.
Direct grilling - With this method, the cone is placed wide side down so with the small opening up. The charcoal is distributed in the funnel. In this way you reach much higher temperatures exactly above the cone to quickly sear meat, for example. Place the food on the grill rack directly above the cone.
Indirect Grilling 1 - This method uses the same position but now places the food on the edge of the grid so that it is not directly above the cone. The temperatures are therefore much lower along the edge and more suitable for slower cooking.
Indirect Grilling 2 - This method uses the cone upside down, with the large opening at the top. The charcoal is now distributed outside the cone. Now distribute the food to be grilled (for example a beer chicken) on the grill rack directly above the funnel. The heat now also indirectly reaches the dish to be prepared and ensures that the food is cooked indirectly.
