The history of the original Friedr. Dick Company began in 1778. When the company was founded as a file cutting workshop in the southern German town of Esslingen, It made to claim to support quility workmanship in Germany and the rest of the world-and this goal was achieved. As a result, the former craftsman's shop grew to become an innovative industrial company with its headquarters in deizisau and remained true to its roots despite worldwide succes. In 2018 the traditional company Friedr. Dick celebreated its 240th anniversary.
