Pitmaster Slowwood is camel thorn (Acacia) wood from Namibia. Camel thorn is an extremely hard wood that is perfect for creating your own coals. Naturally dried in the African sun. As a result, it has a very low moisture content and little smoke development. The wood gives a wonderful African Bushveld scent.
Slowwood is very suitable for use in a Braai, but also for fire bowls such as an Ofyr or Arteflame. Due to the hard structure, the wood burns for 2 to 3 hours and gives heat for up to 5 to 6 hours.
