The Texan Tortillas
The Texan Tortillas
Ingredients:
- 500 gr chicken thighs
- 50 gr 'The Texan' herbs
- 1 tbsp oil
For the guacamole:
- 2 ready-to-eat avocados
- 1 shallot
- 1 tomato
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 red chili pepper
- 1 lime
For the Ranch Sauce:
- 1 clove of garlic
- To taste salt
- 1 handful of fresh parsley
- 2 tbsp fresh chives
- 240 ml mayonnaise
- 120 ml sour cream
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- few drops of tabasco
- 1/4 tsp paprika powder
- 2 tsp lemon juice
Necessities:
Step 1 : Mix the oil and herbs in a bowl, and add the chicken thighs to the strips. Mix all this and leave it for 30 minutes.
Step 2 : Making Quacamole: finely chop the shallot, pepper, garlic and the tomato. Peel the avocado and cut it into cubes. Mix all this in a bowl, and make it into a creamy mass. Cut the lime and squeeze it in, mix it all and put it in the fridge.
Step 3: Making Ranch Sauce: chop the garlic, parsley, and chives. Mix all this together in a bowl with the rest of the Ranch Sauce ingredients.
Step 4: Go, Go, Go, Fire Up Your Starter!
Step 5: Heat the skillet and your Dutch Oven with briquettes. Place the tortilla in the DO to warm up. Place the meat in the skillet per portion and fry it.
Step 6: Grab a tortilla on top of the meat, garnish with the quacamole, Ranch Sauce and possibly some lettuce.
