Baked Apple with Boterbabbelaartoffee
- 4 slices of puff pastry
- 100 gr butterbabbellaars (Werther's Original)
- 1 egg
- 2 large Elstar apples
- Vanilla ice cream
Step 1: Go, Go, Go, Fire up the Q. With the Platesetter / Conveggtor, The Stainless Steel Gridd and the pizza stone bring the BBQ to a temperature of 220°C. Separate 4 butterbabbelaars and grind the remaining ones in a food processor or in the chopper of a hand blender
Step 2: Dust the counter with flour and place the puff pastry on top. Beat the egg and cover the puff pastry slices. Peel the apples and remove the core. Cut a piece off the top and bottom so that they will be stable on the puff pastry. Halve the apples in width so that 4 thick rings remain.
Step 3: Place an apple ring with the widest side up on each slice of puff pastry. Place a whole chatter in the middle of each apple ring and sprinkle the chopped chatter over the apple ring.
Step 3: Place the puff pastry and apple slices on the pizza stone with the help of a spatula. Bake in 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Serve immediately!
Tip: Serve a scoop of vanilla ice cream on every apple!
