Apple Crumble from the BBQ

Apple Crumble



  • 100 gr flour
  • 125 g sugar
  • 75 gr butter
  • 3 apples
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp sunflower oil


Step 1: Go Go Go, Fire up the Q! Prepare your BBQ for indirect cooking (200°C)

Step 2: Peel the apples and dice them. Put the apple cubes in a bowl and add 25 grams of the sugar, cinnamon and lemon juice. Mix everything together and let it rest for a while

Step 3: Take another mixing bowl and add the flour, the rest of the sugar, the salt and the butter. Mix the dough by hand until a crumble dough is formed.

Step 4: Now take the skillet (approx. Ø 27cm) and grease it with sunflower oil. Then divide the apple cubes over the bottom. Then cover the apple with the crumb pastry over the apple.

Step 5: Once the BBQ is up to temperature you put the skillet on the indirect part of the BBQ. Bake the Apple Crumble with about 30 minutes. As soon as the shortcrust pastry is golden brown and crispy, the Apple Crumble is ready to be served.

Tip: Possibly serve it with a scoop of ice cream and / or whipped cream!
